The sake workshop was very interesting. Aki gave us a lot of knowledge and we were able to taste the different sakes. He also gave us a great tip for a restaurant. Thank you very much Aki. We highly recommend this event.

Response from Japan Tours with Local Food Experiences | Best Experience Japan

Hi Denise

Thank you for joining “Taste a Variety of Sakes with a Sake Sommelier in Shinjuku, Tokyo.”

I hope the tour gave you a better idea of sake and that the information I shared helped you enjoy sake even more during the rest of your travels in Japan.

I strongly believe you’re already missing certain types of sake that just aren’t available overseas! If that’s the case, please start planning your return to Japan and get in touch — I’d love to take you to some fantastic sake bars where you can try as many great sakes as possible next time.

Hopefully I’ll see you again soon!

Cheers

Aki

What you’ll do

Arrive the sake bar, I will serve you ALL DIFFERENT type of sake (i.e. Sparkling, Cloudy, Yamahai, Unpasteurised sake or anything like that!!)

Let’s start to have a taste of sake and tell you my impression and then, explain about what the differences of each sake is. Also, I’m going to tell you about which type of sake is good for warm, cold or room temperature and explain the meaning of what are written on the label of a bottle, which makes you understand sake type and taste much more! I hand in a basic sake document, so you can review this whenever you like! I give you a hint of which sake is good for eating a different type of Japanese foods.
